Mr. Alok Mohan, an IPS officer of the 1987 cluster, assumed responsibility as the Inspector-General of Police (Western Range) at the police central command.
Mr. Mohan, who was earlier Inspector-General of Police (Vigilance and Enforcement), Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd., will be the senior-most police officer for Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada and Chikmagalur districts.
Addressing presspersons on the event, Mr. Alok Mohan commended his antecedent Gopal B. Hosur and focused on that he would proceed with the great work. “We will tune in to everyone, except at last the law will characterize the limits of the police compel under me,” he said.
He surrendered that the current conditions were “vastly different” from those of social turmoil that won and required the arrangement of Mr. Hosur toward the Western Range. “The circumstance is serene in the range and Mr. Hosur has completed a great job. The prime target will be to proceed in a similar vein,” he said.
